   The 1920’s was the time of many new inventions and discovering. The radio was invented. It became of very popular form of entertainment. It also helped to provide information to people and expanded the advertising industry.   
  Incredible discoveries with Insulin were made in 1921 by two scientists, Frederick Grant Banting and Charles Herbert Best. This helped with diagnosing and treating people with diabetes.
  Vitamin E was discovered by scientists Dr. Herbert McLean Evans and K.S. Bishop. This helped with making medical advances and understanding the human body and its needs.
  In 1925 naturalist Clarence Birdseye discovered a way to freeze food while maintaining its flavor and nutritional benefits. Frozen food became beneficial because it allowed more people to keep food on hand.     
   In 1925 the Scopes trial occurred. John Scopes, a high school biology teacher, was charged with illegally teaching the theory of evolution.  Evolution was not as accepted back then as it is now. Many people thought that it was ridiculous since they believed that God put humans on earth. This began a separation between people and introduced a new way of thinking. People were starting to think more scientifically than religiously. In the trail Scopes was found guilty and charged $100.     
   In 1926 the Baird Televisor was invented by John Baird. It was the first working system of television. Television changed the world. It was much like the radio in that it provided new entertainment and new means of getting information, but it was visual. It gained much popularity and is now a staple in the American home.
   In 1928 Penicillin was invented by a British scientist named Alexander Fleming. Penicillin was able to get rid of many illnesses and infections in people and became one of the most popular medicines.
